The EA was prepared to accompany the Project Application, in accordance with Part 3A of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act, 1979 (EP&A Act). The Project was determined to be a “Major Project” to which Part 3A of the EP&A Act applies by the Director-General of the NSW Department of Planning (DoP), as delegate of the NSW Minister for Planning.

The EA considers the potential environmental impacts of the Project in accordance with the Director-General’s Environmental Assessment Requirements (EARs) issued by the DoP on 5 November 2008.
