Cadia Valley Province

Introduction

Two of the major development projects are located in the Cadia Valley province. These projects will ensure longevity of this mining province and have the potential to underpin Newcrest’s production profile for more than 30 years.

Ridgeway Deeps, the first project to progress to development phase will further develop Newcrest’s competitive caving capability. Development of the Ridgeway Deeps block cave will also favourably position Newcrest for the most cost effective development of the larger Cadia East project.
