We value our people. We work hard to create a workplace that attracts, retains and rewards the best talent.
We believe your career should allow you to develop and grow your skills, expertise and experience, provide challenge and opportunity, and recognise your achievements.
A career at Newcrest presents opportunity for you to reach and surpass your goals. We are committed to organic and continuous growth, with exploration projects to expand our world class asset portfolio, and a geographic focus on Australia, Asia and the Pacific regions.
We offer competitive remuneration and benefits packages.
We offer a number of different incentive arrangements including short-term and long-term incentives to eligible employees.
Our 'Communities of Practice' and various development programs will enhance your networking and professional development opportunities across the company.
For anyone moving to another state, or country, we’ll do everything we can to ensure your transition is smooth by providing relocation entitlements and support to you and your family.
If part-time study is one way to further your career, we’d be happy to discuss how we might help you.
This program offers a free professional and confidential counselling service to all permanent staff and their families.
As a show of our appreciation for the contribution you’ve made over the years, we formally recognise your continuous service at various milestones.
In line with our vision to be a Miner of Choice, our Parental Leave program provides meaningful financial and non-financial support to Newcrest employees.
These programs differ by country. In Australia, primary carers are eligible for 18 weeks paid leave at full pay (which can alternatively be taken at half pay for 36 weeks or as a lump sum payment), in addition to entitlements to unpaid leave and a Return to Work support payment (and any Government offering). Primary carers will also be offered coaching and toolkits to support their transition to and from Parental Leave.
We also have Parents Networks at Cadia & Melbourne to provide new and expectant parents to connect with each other and the business during their parental leave. Breastfeeding mothers are provided with private spaces for expressing at these sites too.
Secondary carers are eligible for 5 days paid leave in addition to any Government offering.
Our international sites (Gosowong and Lihir) offer between 12-20 weeks paid leave in line with local legislation and benchmarks. In 2018, we will look at introducing Parents Networks and other support mechanisms for these sites.
